As crafters of boutique wedding /portrait albums, we work directly with professional photography studios. Ordering and workflow is easy; however we request that you reach out to us initially by email to obtain our current pricing and order form.
We offer three ways you may order your custom, hand bound book.
1. Design, Print and Bind. The simple solution for busy photographers. We do it all; just send us your images and we do the rest!
2. Print and Bind. Send us your designed page spreads. We’ll quickly and expertly print and bind them.
3. Bind. Enjoy our low-cost binding only service if you prefer to print your own pages using a wide format printer.

Most modern photography album pages are either photographic paper or digital press (toner) printed. At Artisan Craftsman Books we use a third method which is more costly to produce but yields a vastly superior image with color, depth and archival properties photographers seek: advanced pigment printing.
All of our books created on museum quality matte paper. We print in-house exclusively on Hahnemühle and Lexjet premium fine art papers.
The name giclee (pronounced “shee-clay”) originally applied to fine art prints created on IRIS printers in a process invented in the late 1980s. Today it is the medium preferred by artists and galleries to denote the highest quality printing, and giclee prints are commonly found in most museums and galleries. [Read more…]
