Superior Pigment Printing

At Artisan Craftsman Books we use advanced pigment printing for all our fine art books.

All of our books created from museum quality matte paper.  We print in-house on Hahnemühle and Lexjet media, and accept many other types of client-supplied papers.  Some papers work better for binding than others, so it is a good idea to send us some test sheets if it is a paper we are unfamiliar with. Our clients print on Canon, Epson and HP wide format inkjet printers.

The name giclee (pronounced “shee-clay”) originally applied to fine art prints created on IRIS printers in a process invented in the late 1980s. Today it is the medium preferred by artists and galleries to denote the highest quality printing, and giclee prints are commonly found in most museums and galleries. [Read more…]
